The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK) was established in 1996 by the government of India and Kerala., it its the fifth Institute of Management in India.  In 1997, IIMK university began offering post graduate degrees. Objective IIMK is to provide training, education, consulting, and research facilities in the area of business management. IIMK is managed by a Board of Governors by and is an official Central Autonomous Body registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.  The highest position at the institute is known as the Director, he/she is the Chief Executive Office of the university.
